Thanks for replying, sorry I didn'...Hi Feeshy,

Thanks for replying, sorry I didn't get back sooner but I lost track of this blog and also got sidetracked away from looking further into my friends hammond for a while (blog now book marked !).

Finally got the back/top of it 2 weeks ago and have had some success.

The keys which didn't sound properly seem to have been caused by bad connections since I removed the connectors and sprayed them with contact cleaner and they now work fine!

I've taken the volume pedal out of circuit for now until my friend gets the replacement lamp and sensor. This leaves the hammond set at full volume all the time , which is fine.

The only other problem I have found now is that if you play chords on both keyboards and a note on the pedals then it seems to overload and the sound goes to hell. It then stays like that (distortde and such) until you turn the hammond off and then back on !!

Have you encountered this before ? Any suggestions greatly apreciated.

Thanksrichardhttp://www.visit-medieval-spain.com/photos-of-toledo.htmlnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2097839556569560252.post-55440487797369869442010-12-12T20:12:52.346-08:002010-12-12T20:12:52.346-08:00I have one of the cheap ones (w Molex connectors)....I have one of the cheap ones (w Molex connectors). I cannot read the model number but have the serial number 359773. I am trying to understand the signal path. Unlike the classic models with 9 contacts under each key, this uses one per key. There are two 44-note manuals and 13 pedals. It also has 9 drawbars for the upper manual so I am wondering if the single key bus contact is simply biasing diode switches somewhere to admit a specific set of 9 tones to the drawbar rails. The amp is live but tones are not getting to it. Whatever they did is pretty clever but I can't figure it out at this point and the tones are not working. They did when I bought it but I didn't probe it then, unfortunately. Any thoughts?chris clementhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02155225222441678994noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2097839556569560252.post-8808998406454028812010-11-19T17:02:28.929-08:002010-11-19T17:02:28.929-08:00Hi Richard,
We start by locating the model number...Hi Richard,

We start by locating the model number of the Hammond organ. Check under the right end of the keyboards for a tag. We only need the Model and Serial numbers. If not there, check the back of the organ for a Hammond Organ Co. plate. If you still can't find it, take some pics and email them to feeshy@hammond.pro

Let's Roll!

FeeshyFeeshyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13910632699486664768noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2097839556569560252.post-14475770375936754652010-11-19T01:41:09.169-08:002010-11-19T01:41:09.169-08:00Hi Feeshy,

At tyhe moment it has several keys which don't work , others that work only partialy and a volume pedal thats a noise generator !

I've been searching the net for some general info / circuit diagrams etc to try and get an idea of whats involved in a project like this.

Unfortunately not come up with much useful stuff yet. Could you recomend some useful sites / links to help me get started ?

ThanksRichardhttp://www.visit-medieval-spain.comnoreply@blogger.com
